I live down a very narrow lane. Can you still deliver to me?

Most of our domestic oil suppliers have access to 4, 6 or 8 wheeler tankers. If access to your property is very restricted please ensure you make us aware of this in the delivery instructions when you order. This will mean our suppliers can send their smallest vehicle when delivering your heating oil.

My mother uses heating oil and would like to place an order, but she doesn't have access to the internet. Can I order on her behalf?

You can order home heating oil on behalf of another customer by adding an additional delivery property to your account. To add a new property please log into your account then select ‘properties' from the top left of the screen. From here you can add new properties by selecting the red ‘add' tab, and you can assign a name to each of these.

I work during the day. Do I need to be at home when you deliver my heating oil?

You do not need to be at home when your delivery is made providing our driver can gain access to the property and to your oil tank.

How do you keep your kerosene prices lower than my usual heating oil supplier?

As we supply only domestic heating oil, it's in our interest to ensure our heating oil prices are competitive and they remain low. We keep a close eye on international oil prices, as well as on our competitors prices for domestic heating oil, so you can be sure you'll always get the best possible prices from heatingoil.co.uk. Can your drivers ring me an hour before they arrive?

Yes, if you make a note when placing your heating oil order our drivers will happily ring you when they are on their way. This means you do not have to wait around all day for your domestic oil to be delivered and your home heating oil buying experience will be that little bit easier.

Does heatingoil.co.uk provide lower prices for group purchases?

Of course we do! Heatingoil.co.uk allows you and members of your local community to order together This lowers the price you pay even further! If you want to request a Group Buying Day and receive the lowest kerosene prices around then get in touch via email or through the contact us section of the site. We will also email you of any group buying days in your area so you are made aware of when you can purchase your home heating oil at the lowest price.

What types of heating oil can I buy from heatingoil.co.uk?

We sell a range of heating oils starting with 28 second kerosene, our most common product. But thats not all! We also sell 35 second Gas Oil and our newest product, Clean Burning Kerosene (CBK). This new form of kerosene is noted for being more environmentally friendly, optimising burner performance of your heating oil boiler and providing 10% more fuel usage then the same amount of kerosene.

Why is Kerosene called the 28 second oil?

Kerosene is called the 28 second oil as this is a measure of the viscosity (thickness) of the heating oil. It takes 28 seconds for 50ml to flow through a jet into a collecting flask when heated to 40°C.
